The Colonies
A trip back to the original colonies to explore American history and the beauty of the northeast in the fall.
The Ride
This ride took us through nine states, including seven of the original thirteen colonies. Few places in America pack so much history into such a small area. Standing among the centuries-old buildings of Philadelphia, where the Declaration of Independence was signed, then a short time later looking up at the towering skyline of New York City, made for a striking contrast between the nation’s past and present.

The Route
This route links together mountain passes, rolling countryside, historic towns, and the New England coastline into one continuous adventure. From the forests of Vermont and New Hampshire to the rocky shores of Maine and the busy streets of Boston, New York, and Philadelphia, the ride offers an incredible variety of roads over nearly every type of terrain the Northeast has to offer.

One of the coolest nights we had was meeting Daddy Jack. Rest in peace friend.
The colors of the leaves changing in Vermont is amazing in the fall.
The Story
Since we're from California, we had to fly out and rent bikes for this trip. We flew into Philly and rented Harleys, then ventured up the coast to Maine before cutting inland to return through the forests of Vermont and New Hampshire. We spent a day in New York City before heading down to Atlantic City to wrap up the trip.
